Designer Sally Campbell collaborates with top artisans in India to create her contemporary range of homewares.  Her textiles includes quilts, throws, cushions, tableware, towels and scarves. All are handmade, many use natural dyes. She also collects vintage fabrics, then remodels them into cushions and quilts.

Form and Shape is an exhibition featuring two Sydney-based artists. Both artists are currently undertaking Advanced Diploma in Ceramics, displaying very different styles and techniques.

Suburban Requiem collages together the unruly miniature landscapes of potted gardens and common succulents, overgrown ground cover and Nanna’s staked begonias. The ubiquitous camelia and gaudy eternally flowering geraniums pay homage to the waning suburban garden.

BLUE is the 2nd Group Exhibition at The Corner Store Gallery for 2018.  Artists are invited to submit work of any medium, subject matter or size that predominantly features the colour blue.  The idea for this exhibition came to gallery director Madeline Holborow in 2017 while hanging the annual 8x10 exhibition.  Many of the artworks were primarily blue in colour and looked spectacular all displayed together.  Let's wash the gallery in blue just to celebrate colour for the sake of colour.  The exhibition will include the most exciting and original artworks submitted for selection from artists and designers from all over Australia.

The Journey Person Handmade Popup is a curated popup market featuring beautiful, handmade goods by local artisans and designers.  The group works together to celebrate, curate and promote quality, handmade items from a range of skilled designers and artists based in regional NSW.

Canberra based artist Emilie Patteson returns to her hometown of Orange, NSW, to bring to you her latest work in glass and illustration. 
"From Little Things" explores life cycles by examining tiny elements of nature: leaves, stamens, seeds. 
Emilie will be working within the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. 

This exhibition includes a combination of different media, including oil paintings, lino prints and monoprints within the common theme of farmyard tales and fables. Cat has a natural organic narrative style. Cat has recently completed her Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts at Orange TAFE, and is currently the artist in residence at Orange TAFE focussing on printmaking. This is her first solo exhibition at the Corner Store Gallery and she hopes you enjoy her journey.

My love of the Australian rural landscape and all things bovine continues to grow. I love nothing more than to stand among my beauties and appreciate their different noses, ears, eyes and hair do’s - yes cows have their own, unique little tufts just between their ears.
I initially painted cows in a naive style and included their surroundings. As my work progressed and my love of cows grew I wanted to better express each individual cows personality. I decided to make them into pure portraits.  I want the viewer to question if they are a photograph or painting.

Gaahna Bula are the Wiradjuri aboriginal words meaning two shoulders – or more commonly known as Mount Canobolas.

I am fortunate enough to live in a location with sweeping views of Mt Canobolas which I sit and admire daily. Many mornings, afternoons and late evenings are spent watching as the spectacular colours of the seasons move in and then out. Watching as the changing hues of the day move across the majestic peaks and fold into magnificent sunsets.

Orange Moss is a mixture of hand-embroidered one-off pieces and comfortable ready-to-wear offerings, we hope to inspire confidence in all who wear our range. The source photography will be from Orange and the surrounding areas. All items are printed and manufactured in Australia in partnership with a variety of ethical producers and makers

Margie Hedley is a passionate artist and art educator who has worked in and around art her entire life when not flying aeroplanes. She established and ran the Giddy Goanna Gallery in Mudgee, before training as a silversmith, designing and exhibiting her works in NSW and WA. She then entered the world of teaching where she spent the next 30 years.

Mathematician and Artist? This body of work draws from the two differing worlds of beauty that I sing out to: The world of mathematics and geometry, with its calculated design, order, and precision, and the natural world, with its roughness, textures, shadows and details.

Jess Forster is an emerging sustainable Textile Artist, Designer + Educator from the Riverina area in New South Wales, Australia. She creates handmade felt objects + artworks using locally sourced wool fibres. Her practice reimagines an ancient craft with a contemporary vision that hopes to connect people, place and planet.

Paper Pear is an eclectic gallery based in Wagga Wagga NSW. Owner, Stephanie Day, loves nothing more than to roadtrip in search of beautiful artworks, delivering pieces along the way, so when she heard about the opportunity to combine a roadtrip to one of her favourite places with a pop up at The Corner Store Gallery, Orange, she jumped at the chance.

Our purpose is to share a sense of wonder, looking up and into the distance. Recording intricate details and natural patterns gathered in clouds, on land and in water. The artworks encourage people to look closely at the everyday in their environment. These Images work from afar but the closer you step, the more you see of the natural patterns found in nature, describing our days observations as artists.

Twist, distort, warp, morph, meld, isolate, melt, solidify, vapourise…………..  Aileen and Chris use these expressive forces together with the characteristics of ‘particular’ materials to find sculptural form investigating states of matter and states that matter – the enduring and the fragile.

The wonderful folk at Small Acres Cyder have decided to team up with The Corner Store Gallery again in 2017 for the annual Orange Wine Festival to bring you the very best art from around the region.  This time we are holding a sculpture prize – including all artworks with a 3-dimensional element.  The smaller “indoor” sculptures will be displayed at The Corner Store Gallery and the larger “outdoor” or “garden” sculptures will be displayed at the Small Acres Cyder Cellar Door in the outside area.
