Daniela Cristallo
Daniela Cristallo is an Australian artist living and working in Sydney, NSW. She completed her education in Advanced Fine Arts Studies at Southern Sydney Art School in 1998 majoring in painting and photography.
Her work is an exploration of the Australian landscape; rich in colour and evocative in nature, her palette is vibrant, textured and expressive with a primary focus of intuitive mark making and colour. “My artistic practice is driven by my passion for spending time en plein air desert to bush, it is integral to my work and my place in it. Through my studies of loose drawings, photographs and memory I am continuously drawn into abstraction; I don’t just want to paint a pretty landscape, but capture the essence of this spirited land in the most authentic way I can”
