This small body of work  reflects upon this sun drenched country, as colours shift from day into night, drawing closer to its own earthly texture of ancient lands into Mutawintji Country, Fowlers Gap Outback NSW.  Interpretations of the landscape take on their own form as Daniela  explores deeper conversations  through abstract languages evoking  place in this dry and arid landscape and  wandering into  vast and silent echos in the heart of Desert Australia.

Daniela is an abstract painter who lives and works from her home studio in Sydney. Known for her richly textured paintings that are inspired by the Australian landscape which are strongly drawn upon her plein air studies. Daniela predominantly works with acrylic and oilstick on canvas and board, with a long-time interest in drawing with mixed media on paper.

Her connection to the many places travelled and experienced attempts to convey an intimate subjectivity that evokes emotion and a sense of place through the language of colour, texture, mark and mood, exploring the relationship between the raw beauty of the natural world and all its meeting places.

Says Daniela of her work; ‘ I love learning from the immediate experience of being immersed in the landscape, there is something much bigger than myself out here,which allows me to explore my direction into abstraction, I don't just want to paint a pretty landscape, but capture the essence of this spirited land in the most authentic way I can.’

Daniela’s work is exhibited regularly throughout Australia  and has been a finalist in significant number of art awards  and accrued in private collections both nationally and internationally.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.
