Join exhibiting artist Ruth Stone for a 2-day intensive painting and drawing workshop, focusing on portraiture. You'll work with a live model over the weekend, day 1 will focus on drawing and day 2 on painting.
Stone’s work in the Central West has been concerned with the transient and unpredictable forces of nature and the marks of man on the environment. These works, created in response to her participation in the Hill End Artists in Residence Program in 2014, represent a transition from an abstract to more figurative approach and explore the mysterious forces, layers of time, and ghostly history of this unique village.......
Charles Smith lives and paints in Mudgee, NSW. Charles has been drawing and painting since school but running a bespoke furniture making business in Sydney restricted his art to a hobby. After moving west from Sydney, Charles took up painting full-time in 2016.
On Common Ground is our F.O.O.D. Week 2017 exhibition featuring the work of four artists responding to the local landscape. Jaq Davies and Tonya Graham both live locally, while Ingrid Bowen and Belinda Street come from further afield, with strong connections to the area. Each artist paints with their own unique style, offering beautiful and varied interpretations of our surroundings.
Native is an exhibition featuring new work by Ben Foster and Madeline Young. Each artist will create a series of work inspired by Australian Natives. The structure, pattern and sculptural qualities of these plants play a large part in shaping the work of both artists.
A colour explosion collaboration between two artists Fiona Chandler and Shani Nottingham.
