Guest Curator Fiona Schofield

Over the past few years we’ve had the pleasure of working closely with local milliner Fiona Schofield during her annual Pop Up Hat Shops. Fiona is also a member of The Journey Person Collective, so we’ve come to know her style very well.

During Fiona’s time here this Autumn she’s taken the time to go through our stockroom and has curated a mini collection of work for you all to enjoy.

I found it hard to choose just a few pieces for this exercise, but I am always drawn to works that have interesting line, texture and colour. I particularly like earthy colours, though Mary Donnelly’s interesting pastel colours always draw my eye. I adore abstract work and have especially loved having this big work by Raphe Coombes right near my desk in the gallery for the last two weeks.” - Fiona Schofield.

Fiona’s Pop Up Chasing the Sun continues this week until Sunday, open weekdays 10-5 and weekends 10-2.

About Fiona Schofield

Fiona began working in the industry in the early 1990’s and established her own label in 2004 from her small home based workroom in Orange NSW. She trained in Fashion Design and Illustration at The Whitehouse Institute, Sydney, where she specialised in Millinery.

Working by appointment from her studio, Fiona creates seasonal ranges with a focus on style over fashion. Timeless, hand crafted hats for the everyday, tailored to the customer and designed to offer comfort, practicality and style.
