Amanda Holman is an Australian landscape painter whose work is inspired by the ever-changing beauty of rural Australia. Based in Central West NSW, she draws inspiration from the region's expansive skies, shifting seasons and luminous light, creating paintings that reflect a deep connection to place and the Australian landscape.
After a successful career running her own building design business, Amanda returned to painting following a colour and design course in 2014–2015. Her move back to the country in 2018 provided renewed inspiration and the opportunity to immerse herself in the landscapes that now form the foundation of her practice.
Amanda's background in building design and interior decoration informs her approach to composition, colour and balance. She holds a Diploma in Building Design, an ISCD Certificate IV in Design and an ISCD Diploma in Creative Visual Arts specialising in Interior Decoration.
Working primarily in landscape, Amanda's paintings combine an appreciation for traditional Australian Impressionism with a contemporary sensitivity to light, mood and atmosphere. Her work has been exhibited throughout regional and metropolitan Australia, including Orange, Blayney, Moree, Tamworth, Brisbane and Cowra.
In 2024, Amanda presented her first solo exhibition, Beyond 4 Walls, at The Corner Store Gallery in Orange. Her paintings are held in private collections across Australia and are sought after for their warmth, sense of place and connection to the Australian landscape.
