Testimonials
I have always thought that Madi whole heartedly appreciated my creative process and the uniqueness of my art practice. This translates into heartfelt and tireless promotion of my work. She also makes me laugh, is super organised and tells me the truth. - Pippita Bennett.
My relationship with The Corner Store Gallery has been nothing but positive. The opportunities presented by entering art prizes hosted by the Gallery, and from being selected as a finalist, has given my work valuable exposure to the wide audience Madi Young has built, both in person, and online. A recent opportunity to have a solo online exhibition was both a great success and a great experience for me. I now proudly belong to the Gallery's stable of regular artists, and continue to enjoy working with this Gallery that puts the best interests of its exhibiting artists foremost. - Jo Dunsmuir.
Having a solo exhibition at The Corner Store Gallery was a thoroughly enjoyable, streamlined and stress-free experience. Director Madeline Young is a joy to work with, really easy to communicate with and extremely efficient with all the protocols, terms and conditions around selling and promoting the work before, during and after the show clearly established. In addition to having a superb curatorial eye resulting in an exhibition that made me really proud of what I’d created, her marketing strategies on social media and the gallery website are next level with her photographs and videos expertly capturing the artwork and promoting the show enticingly. I looked after the gallery on a couple of days, and it is set up so well that it could pretty much run itself. Madi made the whole experience of exhibiting in her gallery so delightful that I want to move to Orange. - Libby Moore.
Working with The Corner Store Gallery has been a pivotal part of my journey as an artist. Madi was the first gallerist to represent me, and her support has been instrumental in shaping the artist I am today.
Through ongoing mentorship and generous opportunities, like group exhibitions and art prize submissions, she creates an environment where artists can truly grow. Madi’s approach is thoughtful, professional, and deeply committed. She has a clear vision for how she showcases her artists, and she brings genuine enthusiasm and consistency to the way she promotes every artist she represents. With rotating stockroom exhibitions and an additional gallery space in the heart of town, work is rarely left sitting in storage for long - Sophie Corks.
