Our much-loved art prize INSIDE THIS BOX is back for another year!
We’re thrilled to relaunch this popular exhibition and competition, proudly supported by Sale Street Real Estate and Chalou Wines in Orange.
Prizes:
Overall Winner – $1,000 Cash Prize
Selected by Gallery Director Madeline Young, the overall winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize sponsored by Sale Street Real Estate.People’s Choice Award – Magnum of 2022 Mourvèdre
Visitors will vote for their favourite artwork during the exhibition, with the winning artist receiving a Magnum of 2022 Mourvèdre from Chalou Wines.
Artwork Requirements:
Artists are invited to submit one artwork each, in any medium or subject matter, provided it fits within 30×30 cm. This size limit includes framing and must not be exceeded. Works may be square, rectangular, or any shape - as long as they fit comfortably within a 30×30 cm box. (Exceptions for canvas measuring 30.5x30.5cm).

Maximum retail price: $1,000
The exhibition will feature the most exciting and original artworks submitted from artists and designers across Australia.
Artworks will be selected based on:
Originality, creativity, concept, quality of work, technical skill, marketability, and alignment with our audience.
Important Information:
Entry Fee: $30 (non-refundable)
Entries Close: January 28th, 2026 at midnight
Successful Entrants Notified: January 30th, 2026
Delivery in person: February 9th between 10.30am–12pm
Delivery by courier/post: must arrive by February 9th
Exhibition Dates: February 27th – March 8th 2026
Opening Night & Winner Announcement: Friday, February 27th at 6pm

Is there an entry fee? YES $30 per submission (not refundable)
Are all mediums accepted? NO wall-mountable works only
Can I submit more than 1 artwork? NO
Is there a size limit? YES, artworks may not exceed 30cm in any direction
Is there a price limit? YES, maximum retail price of $1000
