Andrea Kirkham-Hopgood

Atmospheric Landscape Paintings

Andrea Kirkham-Hopgood is a Melbourne-based landscape artist known for her light-filled oil paintings that capture the quiet beauty of the natural world. Working from her own photographs, Andrea creates atmospheric vignettes that range from small mantle-sized panels to large-scale canvases. Her work is rooted in traditional oil painting techniques, with a focus on colour, light, and mood.

With a background in art education (Bachelor of Education in Art and Crafts), Andrea balances her studio practice with teaching, regularly leading workshops, demonstrations, and serving as a judge for art events.

Andrea’s paintings have been exhibited across Australia and are held in private collections worldwide. She has exhibited with respected galleries including The Corner Store Gallery (Orange), Satch and Co (Holbrook), Gallery Alchemy (Milton), Lauriston Press (Kyneton), and the Brisbane Art Fair. Her work has been recognised in major art prizes, including as a finalist in the Lethbridge Art Prize and the John Leslie Art Prize.
