Sophie Cork is a contemporary artist based in Orange, NSW, whose vibrant paintings celebrate the colour, nostalgia, and charm of Australian life. Her work captures familiar scenes such as backyards, verandahs of old homes, and retro motels, reimagining them with bold palettes and playful compositions.

Drawing on her rural upbringing in Boorowa, her love of cricket, and time spent living in Sydney, Paris, and Brighton, Sophie creates paintings that reflect both personal memory and the shared character of regional Australia. Her recurring themes of place, community, and everyday rituals invite viewers to rediscover the beauty in ordinary moments.

Sophie’s work has been exhibited in galleries and art fairs across Australia and is held in private collections nationally and internationally. In 2024 she was a finalist in the Regional Landscape Art Prize and the Jumbled Art Superstar Awards, following the sell-out success of her 2023 exhibition Town & Country.
