2-Part Beginners Crochet Workshop

Over two weeks, 6 lovely ladies learned the basics of crochet.  In part 1 of the workshop we gathered at the gallery on a miserably cold, wet night - perfect for crafting - and learned the basics of crochet.  We learnt how to hold the hook and yarn, everyone had different techniques that worked for them, several basic stitches, and how to read patterns.  They went away and practiced for a week and came back to learn how to make a granny square.  I was pleased to see everyone had been practicing and hadn't given up, we have released 6 new keen crafters into the world!  Everyone went home with completed granny squares and are now equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to become master yarn bombers!
