The Corner Store Gallery, with the support of Sale Street Real Estate and Quest Apartments Orange, is proud to present the Regional Art Prize 2026 finalist exhibition, celebrating the diversity, creativity and talent of artists living and working in regional, rural and remote Australia.
Entries are now closed and our finalists have been selected. Formerly the Regional Landscape Prize, this year's prize has grown to embrace the full breadth of regional artistic practice, with finalists working across painting, ceramics, photography, textiles, sculpture and more.
The finalist exhibition opens Thursday 20 August with award announcements from 6pm, and runs at The Corner Store Gallery in Orange, NSW, from Friday 21 August to Sunday 30 August 2026. All works will be available to view and collect, in person and online.
About the Prize
The Regional Art Prize celebrates original Australian art from artists living and working in regional, rural and remote Australia. Each year it brings together a curated selection of work from across the country, giving the public a chance to discover talented regional artists they might not otherwise come across.
Presented by The Corner Store Gallery with the support of Sale Street Real Estate and Quest Apartments Orange, this year's finalist exhibition showcases original artworks selected from over 200 entries, spanning painting, ceramics, photography, textiles and more.
Whether you're a longtime collector or just starting to explore original art, the finalist exhibition is a lovely way to meet new artists, hear the stories behind their work, and find a piece that means something to you. No pressure, no expectation, just come along and see what catches your eye.
Regional Art Prize – Major Award
$3,000 cash, sponsored by Sale Street Real Estate, awarded to the overall winner of the exhibition and judged by an independent panel of two judges.
Sale Street Real Estate Acquisition Award
$2,000, with Sale Street Real Estate acquiring an original artwork from the finalist exhibition to join The Sale Street Collection. The artist keeps the full acquisition value, with no gallery commission deducted.
Quest Orange Landscape Residency Award
Awarded to an artist whose work engages with landscape themes, offering two weeks' complimentary accommodation at Quest Apartments Orange in 2027 to develop new work inspired by the region.
The Corner Store Gallery Emerging Artist Award
Awarded to an outstanding emerging artist, recognising those yet to hold a solo exhibition in a commercial or public gallery. The recipient receives a dedicated online exhibition with The Corner Store Gallery in early 2027, twelve months' representation, and ongoing mentoring support.
