Contact us about personal payment plans and Layby.
Emily is a Melbourne-based artist whose still life paintings honour humble, everyday moments of beauty. Her work is inspired by personal stories and life’s simple pleasures. Emily’s signature style combines fuss-free floral arrangements with vintage ceramics, sentimental keepsakes and intricate patterns. Her work explores the way objects hold memories, mark the passage of time, and speak of the lives they touched.
Emily’s years spent living and working in France a decade ago continue to have a big impact on her work today. While abroad, she indulged her love of flea markets and spent weekends combing through ‘les brocantes’ all to find old vintage treasures. These, together with items rescued from her grandparents’ weary old Queenslander on the Darling Downs, often feature in her still life artworks to evoke a sense of nostalgia. In this way, Emily’s paintings invite deeper reflection on how our lives have changed over recent decades.
Above all, Emily hopes her artwork brightens spaces and connects with viewers in a way that conjures a sense of comfort, nostalgia and delight.
