Spending time at her fisherman’s shack in Sydney, Ingrid loves capturing the beauty of the wilderness in the national parks and the bays of Pittwater that surround her. Often sitting in the landscape as she paints, she is inspired by the ever-changing light and movement in the land, sea and sky. Caring about sustainability and the environment, Ingrid hopes to create lasting memories and encourage others to see the beauty in nature and want to protect it as much as she does.

One of my fondest and most vivid memories is walking this picturesque trail near Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains, one summer.

The path winds its way through grasslands overflowing with alpine wildflowers, in between majestic granite boulders and through a beautiful forest of snow-white gums. There is a feeling of surrendering to the beauty of this place and the experience is a sensory delight. You breathe in the fresh mountain air, listen to the sounds of birdsong carried by the wind and absorb the panoramic views that surround you.

The journey of discovery is always an inspiring one and capturing such an experience can take you back to that moment in time as if it were new again.
