Jo Fernandez is a landscape artist living on the outskirts of the historic village of Millthorpe, in the NSW Central Tablelands. Her work draws deep inspiration from the region’s expansive skies, open land, and the shifting light and colour brought by its distinct seasons.
Since being selected as a finalist in the Landscape Group Exhibition in 2019, Jo has exhibited regularly with The Corner Store Gallery and has been a finalist in the Mini Series, Inside This Box, Regional Landscape, and the Calleen Art Prize.
“Veiling of the Sun” depicts the hazey atmosphere of a summer's day obscuring the sun, diffusing the light and creating a soft warm tint in the sky.
