Martine Zajacek is an artist with a love of vintage printed paper, using the medium of collage to create artworks of layered complexity and detail.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Graphic Communication from the Queensland Collage of Art, working as a Graphic Designer for many years. This experience directly influences her use of colour and composition.
Martine had her debut exhibition as a collage artist in November 2023. In the following few years career highlights include being a Finalist in The Cornerstone Gallery Inside this Box Art Prize 2025, Finalist in the Revival Set & Design Gallery’s Emerging Art Prize, the PICES Exhibition at Cowes in January 2025 and 2026, an Artists Residency at On Clarence in Loch in August 2024, and a joint exhibition with Lucy Hersey in June 2024.
Martine has exhibited in Galleries in Melbourne, Cowes, South Gippsland, Brisbane, Orange and Yass.
Recently her work has evolved into landscape collages, both coastal and country themes. In February 2026, three coastal landscapes will be shown in the Brunswick Street Gallery’s curated “Sun-kissed” exhibition.
