Born in Melbourne and now based in Gippsland, Victoria, I am a visual artist and author with over 20 years of professional practice. My work celebrates the character and atmosphere of urban Australia, with a focus on street scenes, urban landscapes, storefronts, music venues, and historic buildings. I have held several solo exhibitions throughout Victoria and have also exhibited interstate, with my work shortlisted for numerous major art prizes across Australia. In addition to my visual art practice, I am the author of the Blues Portrait book series (Volumes 1–5), which documents the Australian blues scene. My contributions to the arts and music communities were recognised in 2024 with the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society Allan Stafford Award for Services to Blues Music. My current body of work focuses on buildings and structures across NSW, including a painting of the former Band Hall in Grenfell. This work depicts a modest yet significant local building that reflects the town’s social and cultural history.

Through careful attention to form, surface, and atmosphere, the painting conveys the quiet presence and enduring character of this familiar community structure.
