Sarah Park is a contemporary Australian painter based on the Central Coast NSW. Sarah holds a Bachelor, Masters in Art by Coursework, and a Master of Fine Art by Research from UNSW COFA. Her ongoing series inspired by origami celebrates the poetry of imagination and the joy found in transformation. Through her playful compositions, folded paper becomes a stage for storytelling, where nature and still life intertwine to create lively moments filled with colour, charm, and wonder.
'Hop Along the Sweet Stones' features a playful scene as one little origami bird perches triumphantly atop a colourful row of macarons, surveying its sugary kingdom with bright curiosity. Below, its companion stands in front of the treats, admiring the view and ready to join the fun. The sweet hues of the macarons and birds, create a light hearted moment filled with wonder. This piece invites the viewer to share in the birds’ quiet excitement as they explore a world where even the smallest sweets become grand discoveries and a source of immense joy.
