Sophie Corks is a contemporary artist based in Orange, NSW, and a mother of two young daughters. Through vibrant acrylic paintings, she tells stories of regional Australian life with colour, warmth and a playful, nostalgic style. Her work is shaped by a rural upbringing in a small country town, alongside years spent living in Sydney, Paris and Brighton, UK.
Sophie’s paintings capture familiar scenes such as backyards, verandahs, beach shacks and quiet suburban moments. With colour at the core of her practice and bold, playful compositions, she celebrates the beauty and humour of everyday Australian life, inviting viewers to reconnect with their own memories.
