Nerida Woolley is a landscape painter based on the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. With a rural background in agribusiness and newspaper journalism, she loves to paint picturesque rural scenes from her home region and travels.
An emerging artist, Nerida mostly paints in oils with a signature palette of muted greens, using a mix of both brush and palette knife. Following completion of a Visual Arts Diploma from Lismore TAFE in 2019, she has been a full time painter, working out of her farm based studio on the outskirts of Alstonville.
As a lover of rural scenes all over the country, these three pieces are representative of three areas she has spent quite a bit of time exploring. The first, the area her grandparents dairy farmed in Eureka Northern NSW, the second a typical scene snapped from her family travels to children's rugby events in the central west region of NSW and the third a view snapped enroute to son's rowing events at Wyaralong Dam, south east Queensland. Together they provide a snapshot of Nerida's life and admiration and respect for country living.
