Fiona Chandler is a watercolour artist based in Freshwater on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Australia. Working primarily with watercolour and mixed media, Fiona creates nature-inspired contemporary artworks that explore colour, texture, and the vulnerability of the natural world. Her paintings capture nature at its most delicate and transient, reflecting ecological themes through fluid washes, vibrant colour, and fine linear marks across paper and canvas.
After 18 years as a designer and illustrator, Fiona became a full-time artist in 2014. Her work appeals to collectors who are drawn to colour, natural forms, and environmentally conscious contemporary art.
Fiona has been a finalist in the Small Things Art Prize (Woollahra) and has exhibited in group exhibitions across Australia. She has also worked as an artist-in-residence with Warringah Council, developing Harbord Public School’s first Artist in Residence program.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Design from the University of Technology Sydney. She is also passionate about supporting the creative community through initiatives that encourage conversation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among artists.
