Jo Fernandez, Joy, 2026
Oil on canvas, 53×53cm framed in oak.
Jo Fernandez lives on the outskirts of the historic village of Millthorpe, in the NSW Central Tablelands. She has been with The Corner Store Gallery since 2019, has held two solo and online exhibitions, and been a finalist in the Mini Series, Inside This Box, Regional Landscape, Calleen, Cabonne, and Central Belonging Art Prizes.
The artist is fascinated by clouds. Ephemeral and fleeting, clouds offer a natural language that projects infinite moods, thoughts and feelings. Looking skyward we surrender to the moment, moving us from what we see to what we feel - joy, wonder, enchantment.
