Aaron Basei is an oil painter based in regional NSW where natural beauty, changing light and quiet pace of life deeply informs his work. Drawing inspiration from the impressionist and realism movements, Aaron is inspired by artists such as Arthur Streeton, Isaac Levitan, Patrick Okraninski.
Aaron's paintings are characterised by expressive and loose brushstrokes focusing on light, shadow, and texture. He enjoys exploring everyday moments and using engaging compositions to evoke interest within the view. He is a Science teacher by day, and uses this knowledge to inform his artworks.
