Anne De Nooijer is a self-taught contemporary fibre artist, born in the Netherlands now living and working on Birpai Country. With a meticulous process and focus on hand making and sustainable practices, Anne creates hand-dyed sewn compositions or soft-sculptures depicting everyday life often using woven elements. She explores themes of self-mythology, social issues & pop-culture through layered textured pieces. She often stains her work with inks and watercolours made from the leftovers of her botanical dye pots. She has been a finalist in art prizes and has exhibited nationally.
