Katherine Charlton - Corellas

$1,700.00

Katherine Charlton, Corellas, 2025

Coloured pencil, 48.5x48.5cm, framed

Katherine Charlton is a self-taught coloured pencil artist based in the Central West of NSW. Her love for Australian wildlife and art started from a very young age and has inspired her to create beautiful lifelike drawings of our native birds and animals. Katherine’s work is defined by the careful attention to detail and soft layers of pencil, bringing each subject to life. All of her original drawings are created in her home studio in Parkes, NSW.

This piece was inspired by one of the artist's own photographs, taken near the Manildra flour mills. Amongst the flock of Corellas, this pair shared a quiet, intimate moment that immediately stood out. The artist hopes this piece encourages viewers to connect with the subtle emotion and bond between these two Corellas, reminding us to pause and appreciate the quiet beauty and connection found in nature.
