She was the winner of the Kedumba Drawing Award in 2004.

Everyday life provides me with a constant source of subject matter. In these turbulent times I have an instinctive need to create images that are quiet and calm. The solitary woman depicted is immersed in her own world, introspective and reflective. She is semi-autobiographical but I also see her as universal. Working from memory and imagination, rather than from a live model I am drawn to express inner states of being.
