Swiss-Australian artist Michèle Heibel creates her engravings using only a pin, stolen from her mother’s sewing table and fastened into a metal handle that once belonged to her late Grandfather. She worked for almost two decades as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in Sydney’s fast-paced publishing industry before returning to the rural lifestyle she'd loved as a child and finding herself creating artworks by hand again. Michèle draws endless inspiration from the beautiful landscape she is surrounded by in the Hunter Valley where she is now based.
