Tracy Dickason is a Sydney based ceramicist and illustrator with THE MOST AMAZING SPACE to work in!  Her bright and airy family apartment sits atop a sandstone cliff just above a beautiful Australian beach!  Warm sunlight floods the corner in which Tracy works.  Her delicate porcelain vessels and sculptures adorn a wooden chest while half-finished illustrations and drawings are scattered about the room.

Alexandra Frasersmith uses the most beautiful coloured glass to create her clever textural pieces.  Deep cobalt blues fade into pale turquoise and range through to orange and purple.  She creates functional objects as well as more abstract sculptural pieces.  All of the above will be on display as part of her new exhibition Cast Emotion at The Corner Store Gallery this Spring.

If you've been thinking about taking a trip to Orange, DO IT!  Winter is quite a lovely time to visit, who knows, you might just see it snow!  But Orange is a great place to visit all year round, we do all the four seasons properly here, especially Autumn!

I thought I'd compile a little list of my favourite things to do in Orange for those of you thinking about making the trip some time soon.  This will by no means cover all the great places in our humble little town but they are my genuine favourites.......

I’ve been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil. As a small child I would sit for hours on my own just drawing, and well, I never really stopped! I was good at art from an early age and used it as an escape from the real world. When I finished school I went to Newcastle University to undertake a Bachelor Arts (Visual Arts) degree which I absolutely loved. Upon finishing that I also studied desktop publishing, and got a job as a graphic designer.

Today we revisit the artist studio of local artist Jaq Davies in preparation for our 2017 F.O.O.D. Week exhibition On Common Ground.
