Dutch Australian, Megan Drennan draws inspiration from the rural landscapes that surround her in her daily life as an avid equestrian. Megan’s home studio is situated in the picturesque open farming area of Umbiram, Queensland. Her favourite medium of acrylic allows her to create intriguing and highly textured work. She loves being immersed in the moment while painting and seeing a piece emerge from the canvas. Unrestricted by a singular artistic style, Megan offers a variety of quirky landscapes, animal portraits and still life. Lose yourself in the whimsy of Megan’s creations.
The farmer’s dog is always there to lend a hand, and provide company during the long hours - a silent bond. They love nothing more than to come with us whatever we are doing. A farm dog’s work never ends - there’s always something to get done and often well into the night!Enjoy these quirky farm scenes depicting rural tranquility under the night sky.
